Sometimes real life does imitate, or at least vaguely reflect the make-believe business of show. Hollywood couple Anne Heche and Thomas Jane co-starred as an acrimoniously divorced couple in the provocatively named 2009-2011 series “Hung” — they were both involved with other people at the time, she with her “Men in Trees” co-star James Tupper and he with Patricia Arquette — but their romance did not bloom until a decade later when they got back together to portray a married couple in the Netflix indie thriller “The Vanished.”
In late 2019, six or so months after the not-married couple went public with their romance, and around the same time Heche sold homes in L.A. and Lake Arrowhead, Calif., that she’d shared with Tupper, Jane dropped almost $1.9 million on a fashionably renovated 1926 storybook English Tudor cottage in L.A.’s hyper-trendy Silver Lake neighborhood. (Tax records show Heche was added as an owner in late 2020.) Alas, the couple soon changed their real estate minds and flipped the four-bedroom and four-bath home back on the market last month and have quickly sold it for a small bit over its slightly under $2 million asking price.
Built in 1926 but extensively updated and modernized by a previous owner, the not-quite-2,100-square-foot home features an open floor plan, elegant (and expensive) herringbone-pattern wood floors and, in the living room, an imposing and contemporary smooth concrete fireplace.
Jane and Heche were represented in the transaction by Carey More of Corcoran Global Living and the buyers were handled by Adam Sires of Nourmand & Associates.
