Packers Tackle David Bakhtiari Tosses Glitzy L.A. Home Onto the Market

Since suffering a torn ACL back in December 2020, David Bakhtiari hasn’t been busting out many football moves for the Green Bay Packers. But the All-Pro left tackle has still managed to make a real estate play, hoisting his modern estate in L.A.’s San Fernando Valley up for sale at a speck under $6.3 million — or an impressive $2.4 million more than he paid for the place less than three years ago.

Bakhtiari, 30, became the highest-paid offensive lineman in NFL history when he signed a four-year extension with the Packers in 2020 worth up to $105.5 million, including a signing bonus of $30 million. A fan favorite since he was drafted by the team in 2013, there’s currently no timetable for when he will return  to the game.

Alex Duk and Deanna D’Egidio of Harcourts Beverly Hills hold the listing for Bakhtiari’s Tarzana estate, which is nestled atop a walled and gated knoll spanning nearly a half-acre. Built on speculation by a local developer in 2019, the contemporary house features six bedrooms and eight baths sprawled across more than 7,100 square feet of light-filled living space on two levels.

There’s a circular driveway and an attached two-car garage out front, with the home’s entry door opening into a 24-foot foyer displaying a floating glass and steel staircase. Views extend out to the grounds via floor-to-ceiling Fleetwood pocketing doors. From there, a spacious fireside family room connects to a gourmet eat-in kitchen, which is outfitted with dual islands, high-end Wolf, Miele and Thermador appliances, a wine display and wet bar-equipped butler’s pantry.

Other main-level highlights include formal living and dining areas, along with a movie theater. Upstairs, a cozy den has sweeping views from its own patio space, while an opulent master retreat boasts a sitting area with fireplace, private balcony and walk-in closet, plus a spa-inspired bath with a soaking tub and glass-encased shower, and an adjacent exercise/massage room.

Rounding it all out: mostly hardscaped grounds hosting a wealth of resort-style amenities, including a pool and spa with a Baja shelf, sunken fire-pit area, sports court, and several spots ideal for al fresco dining and entertaining. Two additional structures on the property are being used as a gym and poolhouse.
