Cynthia Nixon Clarifying Her Remarks On Sexuality

Omggggg can we PLEASE let this go?  So you remember our previous article about Cynthia Nixon’s explanation of her sexuality and how as soon as she said that she CHOSE to be gay, everyone attacked her for it.  She tried to explain her thoughts and help everyone understand, but they wouldn’t cut her any slack.  Now Cynthia Nixon is clarifying her remarks on sexuality AGAIN, even though she should NOT have to defend her own personal lifestyle in any way, shape or form.

Like I argued before, Cynthia wasn’t saying that ALL homosexuals took the same path as her.  She was sharing her own journey.  And now JustJared quotes her telling The Advocate, “My recent comments in The New York Times were about me and my personal story of being gay. I believe we all have different ways we came to the gay community and we can’t and shouldn’t be pigeon-holed into one cultural narrative which can be uninclusive and disempowering.

“However, to the extent that anyone wishes to interpret my words in a strictly legal context I would like to clarify: While I don’t often use the word, the technically precise term for my orientation is bisexual. I believe bisexuality is not a choice, it is a fact. What I have ‘chosen’ is to be in a gay relationship.”

NOW do you guys get it?  Just like a straight woman could choose to be in a relationship with either Paul or Tom, she had the option of Billy or Susie—and she went with Susie.  Ya dig?  Time to move on.  Cynthia Nixon’s sexuality can be anything Cynthia Nixon wants it to be.  NEXT!
